Far too often, people turn away from help due to the stigma and shame that accompanies gambling harm. People need to feel at ease to come forward and talk openly about their experiences.
As a survivor from gambling harm and a recovery coach professional I can help you navigate your journey of recovery through person centred coaching. I also work for two charities, delivering an aftercare programme for one and I contribute on a development panel of another.
My lived experience helps others realise they are not alone on a journey that can feel very lonely and by sharing my story I empower people to do the same, if they want to. So together we reach a wider audience.
I provide a friendly, non judgemental, empathic ear to anyone, particularly those suffering in isolation and to be an advocate for recovery no matter what path is chosen. By being an ally to a few, we can encourage many to come together, making our journeys become one.
I worked in the gambling industry for 25 years so I have first hand knowledge of the harm it can cause and the trauma it can leave behind. Lived experience is valuable to truly understanding and helping others avoid and recover from gamblings negative consequences. My own gambling journey, alongside my extensive training in addiction recovery means I'm perfectly placed to offer you my professional insight and support to help change your mindset using the wellness practices and creative pathways that I used to recover from gambling harm.
